Middle Child Book Club

Supported by Nick Hern Books

Through our Theatre Library we often hear people say they want to read more plays but don’t know where to start. Well, fear not, the Middle Child Book Club is here for all of your play-reading needs.

Each month we’ll suggest a brilliant play to read, which you can borrow a copy of from our library. Then we all get together to talk about what we liked, or didn’t like, about the play, remembering there are no wrong answers and it’s not a test.

Alternatively, you can join us on the morning of the discussion for an optional ‘read aloud’, where attendees take a part and read it aloud, alongside a breakfast of pastries, porridge and fruit.

Untitled Feminish Show by Young Jean Lee

Untitled Feminist Show by Young Jean Lee

Friday 1 November, time tbc

In Untitled Feminist Show, six charismatic stars of the theatre, dance, cabaret and burlesque worlds come together in an exhilaratingly irreverent, nearly wordless celebration of a fluid and limitless sense of identity.

Untitled Feminist Show isn’t a show about feminism – it is a feminist show. It premiered at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, in 2012 before transferring to the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City.

A free breakfast will be available alongside the Read Aloud.
