Martin Green is the managing director of Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. He has masterminded some of Britain’s most significant major events including the opening of The 02 in London; the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Hull 2017 UK City of Culture, the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ in Leeds and the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2020.
Martin is an inaugural member of the Circle of Cultural Fellows at King’s College London. In 2018 He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Hull and made CBE in The Queen’s New Year Honours List.
Martin was appointed chair of the board of trustees in 2018 and finished his term in January 2023.
