Developing new writers in Hull
The Middle Child Writers Group, in association with The Royal Court Theatre, offers an introduction to playwriting, led by our associate artist Tom Wells. You don’t need to have written anything before, you just need to have a few good stories to tell – funny stories, sad stories, tough stories, tender stories – stories we’re eager to see on Hull stages.
You’ll take part in a series of workshops focused around finding your voice as a playwright and begin working on a new play, which will receive feedback from Tom and the Royal Court literary team. There will also be a number of guest masterclasses from various Royal Court staff and writers, as well as use of Middle Child facilities, including our new theatre library and writing room.
