Arthur Seaton is the ultimate working class anti-hero. He spends his time boozing, womanising and ranting against his employers and any other bastard that tries to grind him down. As Arthur’s encounters with married women start to become local gossip he meets a young girl in a pub and his life begins to change.
Alan Sillitoe’s timeless novel ‘Saturday Night and Sunday Morning’ has continued to influence generation after generation from The Smiths to the The Arctic Monkeys and beyond.
Middle Child present this part-gig, part-club night experience with a frantic adaptation by Amanda Whittington (Ladies Day, Ladies Down Under, Amateur Girl; Hull Truck) and a live band providing a pulsating soundtrack.
There will be live music in the venue from 6.30pm and a special 1950s club night after the Friday evening performance (free entry with any ticket for the show).
